In these classes, taught by Harry Murray, you will tie both new and old patterns. Those patterns include favorite trout drys, terrestrials, emergers and smallmouth flies. Those who have taken the basic fly tying schools can use this class to expand their skills, however, this is open to all fly tyers with some experience. |

Using our slide show we will show you how to read the water and fish drys, nymphs, and streamers on all types of trout streams. We will cover entomology and show you which flies to fish. We cover rods, lines, and tackle used in trout fishing. Using our books and maps we will show you where to find good trout fishing. |

We will teach you casting on our casting lawn. We will show you how to select the proper tackle for the type of fishing you plan to do and how to rig the rod, line, backing and leader and also how to care for your tackle. |

We will use slides of various types of smallmouth water to show you how to fish streamers, nymphs and top water patterns. We will show the most productive smallmouth flies and show you how to fish them. Using the specific models, we will show you the various rods, reels, line and equipment we use for smallmouths. We will also cover the various access spots. |
